Privacy policy

The short version: everything you log stays on your iPhone. There are no accounts, we run no user database, and we cannot read your health data.

Your health data stays on your device

Everything you log in Refluxa (meals, symptoms, lifestyle entries and medication) is stored locally on your iPhone in the app's database. We do not upload your logs to our servers. Deleting the app, or using Delete all data in Settings, removes them permanently.

Meal photos

When you scan a meal, the photo is sent once to our analysis server to recognize the food. The result is returned to your device and the photo is processed in memory only; it is not stored on the server.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and our subscription provider RevenueCat. We receive an anonymous purchase state (subscribed or not), never your payment details.

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage events (such as "meal logged" or "report shared") through Mixpanel to understand which features help people. These events contain no meal contents, no symptom details and no photos. You are identified by a random id, not by name or email.

What we never do

We do not sell data.
We do not show ads.
We do not share your logs with third parties. We cannot even read them: they are on your device.

Exports and reports

CSV exports and doctor reports are generated on your device. Where they go after you share them is up to you.
